Getting Started In Mothership

Mothership is a living systems simulation. Your goal is not to max everything to 100. Your goal is to keep a stable ship while moving breakthrough forward.

First Session Checklist

• Complete onboarding and pick a role preset that matches your play style.
• Open dashboard for full overview, then pin 2-4 pressure properties in heatmap.
• Create one draft with one clear upside and one explicit downside.
• Watch event logs and pressure shifts for a few ticks before adding more changes.

Common Early Mistakes

• Stacking only positive edges with no maintenance cost.
• Ignoring conditional edges that trigger under stress.
• Pushing many systems near max and slowing long-term progression.

Tip: use pinned pressure as your short list. If those properties trend safer over time, your current design is usually healthy.
